The respawn beacon is a great tool for surprising enemies. The respawn beacon can only be thrown down once per life, and is dropped directly beneath you despite the throwing animation. The respawn beacon DOES show up on HRV as a small exclamation mark.
The Respawn Beacon emits a pulsing glow accompanied by a soft humming sound with each pulse.
